about

Second PW release for Celebrate PSI Phenomenon, following on from 'A Tiny Camp In The Wilderness'. Another favourite album of mine from the pre-UK period, which was largely put together during some violent spring storms in Christchurch.

This recording was the first to feature digital field recordings on my newly acquired and rapidly obsolete mini disc recorder. As such I made good use of the stormy environment, giving it centre stage on a couple of pieces. Two tracks were recorded 'live' in the band rotunda in Christchurch's botanical gardens - the audience that day were a collection of soggy looking ducks.

The title is another wonderfully evocative phrase randomly extracted from the Introduction to Old Norse (see Duna).
