about

Album number three in the Peter Wright collected works for those who are taking notes. A Tiny Camp... was a CDr album released on Campbell Kneale's superlative Celebrate PSI Phenomenon label in 2001, dressed in a very tactile pale blue wallpaper sleeve. Most of the album reappeared on the 3xCD collection 'Pariahs Sing Om' (Last Visible Dog, 2005) but the full album has remained obscure since the CDr ended it's run.

Significant 'new' techniques that appeared for the first time on a PW album include the now often utilised practice of recording tracks with all the doors and windows open, or a microphone pointed outside to capture random sounds. Field recordings made a real entry here as well, although I first used some of these European recordings on LP in a much more subdued way.

I also introduced a clarinet for the first time - played in a completely unskilled fashion which I find pleasingly still annoys some listeners.

Available in the original format for the first time in 13 years with fresh new cover artwork included in the download file in case having a tangible product on the shelf is your thing. Good for you if so.
