about

This was the last album to be issued on Apoplexy before I became too busy in the real world to operate a label with any sense of commitment. Essentially a collection of tracks recorded just prior to leaving NZ for a 6 year stint in the UK, combined with a handful of Distant Bombs leftovers from the previous year - it actually stacks up quite well as a cohesive whole considering the 14 month period it covers.

Featured throughout this was my recently purchased Danelectro electric 12 string guitar in addition to my usual 6 or less string collection. Interestingly, I chose to take this new guitar to the UK over the heavier Gibson, meaning that this record more or less previews the sort of guitar sound that many of you keen followers will be more familiar with through the subsequent albums I recorded overseas.

The album was reissued in it's entirety on the 3 CD compendium that bore the same name, but that is now long sold out so here's a fresh new copy for you, with a new cover in the download.
