Partial Escalation

AMS "The artist" can seem flippant and understated when describing his own stuff - "done while testing equipment during rehearsals for a show" - don't be fooled, this is transcendent and considered, and at 3 tracks is a good focussed length for a work of long tracks. Still the best of the NZ drone underground, 20+ years on. And in that spirit, why are you reading a comment in a text box on the internet, just get on and listen to it.

about

Partial Escalation takes it's name from a PW solo recording made while testing equipment in preparation for a collaborative performance with Bruce Russell at the Christchurch Art Gallery in November 2016.

Bruce has named this sporadic duo The Escalation, after a band mentioned in "Barefoot In The Head" by Brian Aldiss - the twist being that the fictional Escalation had started out with the moniker The Dead Sea Sound.
