How To Recognise Different Types Of Cloud At Night [Unedited Mix]

from Driftnet [Collected Debris 1998-2018] by Peter Wright

about

Recorded 5 June 2003, Ivy Road, London.

My contribution to Campbell Kneale's invitation to participate in a Birchville Cat Motel album - With Maples Ablaze [Scarcelight], 2003. I recorded this in one take, and edited it down to around 12 minutes, attached a field recording of a journey on the London Underground, and sent the finished result to Campbell, expecting that he might use a portion of it. As it turned out, he used almost the entire 12 minute track, including the tube train recording, as the foundation for the finished piece you can hear on his album - Track 4 (Untitled). That 12 minute edited mix can be heard on Driftwood. This version is the original unedited live recording.
